What data do we collect?

  • Registration email: If you register a user account with us, then your email address is saved.
  • Newsletter email: If you register to receive a newsletter, then your email address is saved.
  • Anonymised IP address & server logs: Every time you visit our website your IP address is saved in anonymised form.
    • Every time you visit our website connectivity and configuration is saved along with the anonymised IP address, including:
      • Date and time the website was accessed and files were loaded.
      • The website or link that referred you to our website.
      • Which pages of the website you accessed.
      • Which page of the website you existed from.
      • The operating system running on your device.
      • The type and version of browser software you’re using.
      • All such data is tied to an anonymised IP address.
  • Comments: If you leave a comment on any story, article, document, or content on Maleki Dispatch, we will collect your user registration name, email address and comment content.
  • Emails: If you email us then we will have a copy of your email address, your email content, and any information associated with your email.
  • Donations: If you donate to Maleki Dispatch then data may be collected via third parties.
    • PayPal: donations made via this service are subject to PayPal's terms and conditions.
    • SEPA: donations made via banks are subject to their terms and conditions.
    • Bitcoin: donations made via Bitcoin by nature store the sending and receiving addresses in public form accessible to everyone.

How is your personal data processed?

Registration email:

If you have registered a user account then your email address may be used by a Maleki Dispatch administrator to contact you for administrative and information purposes.

This email address is deleted when you delete your user account.

Newsletter email:

If you have registered to a newsletter then your email is used to send you a copy of the newsletter.

This email address is deleted once you unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Anonymised IP address & server logs:

Whenever you visit our website, we automatically store certain data. This includes the IP address in anonymised form, type and version of the browser used, time, date, website from which the users come to our site. For more details see the above section, titled, What data do we collect?

This data is used to:

  • Monitor and analyse trends, usage, and activities.
  • Improve our services, products, and public relations efforts.

If you leave a comment on any story, article, document, or content on Maleki Dispatch, we will use your user registration name, email address, and comment content to post, display, and maintain your comment. An administrator may contact you via email in case the comment requires moderation. You may receive automatic notices via email to inform you of responses to your comment or new comments posted in the story, article, document, or content in which your comment was posted.
